Even if the idea is nice, this kind of sticker is getting so fashionable and overused that I can't bear them anymore....
I was just at Ikea yesterday... had I known these were there I would have taken a look for them. Oh well.
maybe if they werent displayed like in the above picture.. eeep
great idea!
NOT HOT. nothing in this feature is EVER hot.
For someone that has a great deal of problems hanging things conventionally on my crazy thick plastered walls, these could be a godsend. I'm definitely checking them out next ikea trip.
very very very interesting. I bought "frame tape" designed by Marti Guixe about two years ago and LOVE IT. It works really well for posters and cards that you want to put up casually and temporarily. I'm not sure about the ikea version, but I love the original concept that ikea copied...
they look really really really horrible in person. it looks like a bad printout from your computer on sticky paper.
I was at Ikea last week and saw these in person as well, they had a few designs other than this one. The frame decals don't look so hot close up but they did have a giant flower decal that might look nicer.
I think this is a cool idea for displaying your children's artwork.
Hot idea (although dangerously close to 'nuking the fridge'), but done better elsewhere. this is NOT on of IKEA's better knockoffs.
I was at Ikea over the weekend and saw these and other wall stickers. They all looked fun, I was tempted, but you have to bay multiple packages to make any thing interesting, and then itâs too spendy for stickers. My favorites were the poppies.
i personally think it's a great alternative to just putting posters/pictures straight onto the wall.. they provide a literal 'frame' without the hassle of hanging hardware.. and for me, where my walls are ridiculously hard (wood paneling, ew, i know.. i painted over them with RL Studio Gray paint) to just hang with nails.. this is a great solution. also not too shabby for people that rent or lease and don't want to put holes.. and totally removable/movable, as well.
my local ikea had this displayed with a few other baroque looking frames/mirrors in the center, and the frame decals surrounding it, and the two together looked like a pretty good trompe l'oeil, in my opinion.
i'm pretty much a hater of the whole sticker ''craze'' but i like these. at least i like the picture of these. based on the comments by OliviaTokyo and atlantadesigner above, i guess i'll reserve my final answer until i see them in person.
As long as the designs are still cool - wall stickers are still the future. Check out DecoSticks wall stickers and especially the crystal stickers
Jx
We used them for my 14 year old nieces "Twilight Inspired Room" last week. I wouldn't have used them for normal decoration. They don't stick to the wall hardly at all either, we had to use spray adhesive and glue dots to keep them on the wall.
