The Sophia is a "2 in 1" Lamp and Storage piece designed by BabaAkcja. The perforated shade allows you to store and display your earring collection...hot or not?

Well, it's literally hot. Imagine trying to handle hot metal earrings with the light on.
If you have a mish-mash collection of earrings, it won't be so hot.
I think Claire's sold a earring/lamp combo years ago...
I'm a visual person that has fought with an earring storage solution for years - incorporating storage into an every day tool is great! But then, my bedroom is full of sunlight in the morning so I wouldn't be dealing with the light hot earring situation.
It seems perfect for a teenager's room.
Those particular earrings look cute, but I agree with robinette. If you have lots of different styles and sizes it won't look good. Then you have to decide whether to have a weird mish-mash or store your earrings in two different places to keep the lamp looking good.
Hot, only if you're under the age of 16. It looks too cluttered and mismatched for a grown-up space.
Yes, good for a teenager's room. Not so much for an adult. I voted "not".
Perfect for my closet, where I store my jewelry and need extra light!
agree with cara - perfect for sitting in a closet, but not as a bedside lamp
a person *could* use other things in those holes, like cute thumtacks or fishing lures, or something, and make it work.Even sans anything it looks neat with the perforations.
I voted hot. It's unique, and if someone has a coordinating collection of earrings it could be nice in a dressing area. But if I used it, I would go the DIY route instead of paying for a hole-y lampshade. :)
I think it's hot for a personal bedroom. I do this with my necklaces and love it.
This lighting fixture looks unreal and like computer generated contemporary modern lighting that should seen in the Toy story. I am not sure if there is any material any create this texture and effect. However, personally I am a minimalist. I don't like the rings hanging over the shade. For home decoration, it is better off with such coloring contrasting techniques. I have seen something like this in http://www.philazlighting.com/pendant/catalog which also reminds me ikea also has this type of style some a more simplistic one. in sum, it is not too hot and I like the simplistic design.
