The SunSpa simulates sun shining through a window for your pet. The bed is kept between 80-85 degrees with a 150 watt bulb that lasts for 5000 hours. Hot or Not?

Sunbeams still come through windows, don't they?
this is RIDICULOUS
sunbeams don't come in through the window if you live in a basement apartment that faces north.... thankfully I live upstairs but it is still a north face so while i don't ever get direct sun it is still pretty light.
this is great. my cat wouldn't have to chase the sunbeams along the floor for his naps.
My chihuahua would LOVE this. I love pet month!
Um, I live in a basement too... do they have a people model?
This is fabulous! Instead of my dog lying on the stairs every morning, she could have her own spot. She follows the sun down the steps making it an accident waiting to happen- both her falling off and me falling down the stairs! Sign me up!
I wonder if you can leave it unattended for long periods? I'd love to put this in my pug's doggie bedroom when I'm at work during the day. He stays in a back bedroom that doesn't get a lot of light. I'd just be concerned about fires, etc. But otherwise I love it!
I blame this and this alone for the current fall of the American Empire.
LOL Kellylc
Unless you live in Sweden (or a basement)... My cats are passive solar. It's a pity builders don't do more to take advantage of natural light. Then again, people would probably continue to spawn such ridiculosities as this anyway.
Kellylc: get some perspective. I know you were being overdramatic and funny, but really now... it's a cat bed. And I'm assuming it's intended for places that get limited natural sunlight.
Jick, darlin', it's called satire. My perspective is just fine: 3-point in fact.
a bit excessive. but it's funny.
it would be nice to have if i had to live with my pet in an underground fallout shelter for a long time.
My dog would rather have air conditioning blowing on him all the time.
Not.
I'd love to see a blurb about whether or not pets use (use=like?) it.
I have a kitty who, in his age, is moving more slowly and spending more time napping - his favorite spots involve light and warmth, be it on my bed where the sun shines in after 4pm, or the spot directly under my recessed light fixture near my bathroom (when I'm in it). This would be great to help keep his old bones warm.
seems a bit ridiculous....i vote: not
hot dog!
but no I think this is a big NOT.
This is great. Before I was a dog owner I would have thought that this was absolutely ridiculous and silly. Now that I have a french bulldog in my life I know that he would absolutely love this funky little dog bed. In the winter we have a heat lamp to keep us warm and he spends the majority of the day right in front of it, it has to be at least 100 degrees there. So as silly as it may seem to some people, this would be the best gift I could ever get for my dog. If the price is right, I'll be buying it right away!
I'm pretty sure my cat would love this. They can tolerate heat a lot better than humans - cats are relatively comfortable up to 120 degrees I once read - and as they get older frequently need that kind of heat to soothe various kitty aches and pains.
This post makes quick work of splitting up cat owners vs. non-cat owners.
My cat would adore this! She is such a whore for sunbeams, and they don't always appear every day. For days when it's cloudy (or that long, depressing 6 months of winter we have here in Minnesota), this would be awesome. I might have to steal it from her when she's not using it, because who doesn't love a nap in the sun?
My Cat. and both Pups would freak out over this.....they live for sun light and are constantly looking for the warmest part in the flat.
Great Idea....even if its a bit intrusive into the design of a space...
