Swedish design collective Front designed the trompe l'oeil bookshelf collection of cabinetry for the new Italian furniture company Skitsch...
The new collection from Skitsch includes a cupboard, nightstand and credenza that appear to be bookshelves but are actually cabinets printed with the image of books.

nay, not hot.
just don't get it, buy fake clutter stickers to complement my real clutter? but i'm not a big fan of trompe-l'œil, so that does taint my opinion.
it could be of great use for me to get over my clutter-phobia. i could lock myself in a small room filled with these, and sweat out my need to de-clutter.
Nope. Feels immediately dated. One of those things that's clever for about ten seconds, and then your brain is ready to move on to the next clever idea. Reminds me of being in junior high in the 70s - not a good thing. (Young hipsters: the 70s were not all that if you had to live through them!)
Have enough real clutter to look at, let alone fake clutter as well. Only plus side is these books don't need dusting
I wouldn't be able to sleep at night-- this would drive my OCD over the edge!
Not.
I agree, too cluttered and claustrophobic.
Clever, yes, but having seen these once in a lifetime is enough!
It just looks cheap.
Could work if the books were a little more tidy. (And if they are cerebral titles behind which I could stash my collection of Elle Decor.)
Not.
I can't see this looking good anywhere. There are so many beautiful patterns and design techniques available that faking cluttered bookshelves makes my brain hurt a little (not to mention my eyes).
Eh. I have enough of my own clutter. I don't need a screen print of someone elses.
truly horrific
Cheesy
Like other posters, I don't need it, my shelves look like that already. Slightly neater, even.
Amusing. But I'm a librarian, I find all sorts of book-related things (that don't actually harm books) amusing...
It's like those bad Barbie dollhouses where they print pictures of furniture set-ups on the walls instead of actually providing 3D furniture. Ugh.
One of the things I find soothing is when my books are all lined up and organized on their shelves. Why would I want to bring what looks like an mess into my workspace when it would only prove to be a distraction?
It's not attractive in the least.
Gimme real bookshelves with real books.
NOT. The reason i would get shelfs with doors is to hide all the clutter. This is anti organized. Would be nice if they had different designs for the front though. something else might work much better.
