Color Inspiration: I fell in love with the curtains long before we even knew what gender our baby was. I tried to convince my husband to let me use them in our bedroom but he was vehemently opposed to it. So when we found out we were having a girl they were the first thing I bought and the rest of the room kind of took shape around them.

Color Inspiration continued: I'm not even a fan of the color pink, and I swore up and down that I would not use it in my daughter's room, but I ended up really digging the bright pink in the curtains. So I just went with it and used the color in other aspects of the room. My favorite part of the space turned out to be the pink faux bois crib skirt I made, so maybe I have become a pink-convert.

Tip for Using Color: Find one thing you love whether it is curtains, or bedding, or even a toy and build your color scheme around that. You can't go wrong with filling the space with things that you love and make you happy. Even if you live in an apartment like I do and painting the walls is not really an option, you can still bring loads of color in by using lots of cool fabrics and art.

Colors Used: Hot pink, teal, and gold-green.

Thanks for your colorful entry Brianan and good luck!
