Hot Tip: Use a Pillow Case to Clean Your Ceiling Fan

It's that time of year, Re-Nesters: when you've been spinning your ceiling fans to maximize your air conditioning for the past few months. And because of all that extra circulation it's now left with a layer of grimy dust. And I bet you totally dread cleaning the one that hangs above your bed because you can't seem to ever clean it without chunks of dust falling. I've totally been there; I completely understand. That's why I was excited to share this simple cleaning tip with you..."Simply slide each blade, one at a time, into a pillowcase and wipe of the blade with the inside of the pillowcase. All the dust, dirt and debris will stay inside. Then simply shake out the case outside and throw it in the laundry bin," writes Simply Stated.

One thing to add: save some water and wash the pillowcase every other or every third time you clean. If you shake it out well, there's no great reason to wash wash away all that water!
