Hotel Sax in Chicago Offers Inspiration, In-Room Microsoft Experience

We've heard of that "Microsoft Experience" before - from the Xbox360 interface overhaul with Netflix integration to their take on multi-touch technology on their Surface technology, Microsoft has been quite busy improving the interfaces for users. On the other hand, most of this new "upcoming" technology won't be seeing the light of day for (seeing as how long Vista took to come out) another 3-5 years, so if you really can't wait, grab a plane to Chicago and enjoy some Microsoft prototypes before any mass consumer can. Hotel Sax Chicago offers an exclusive "unique partnership with Microsoft blends technology and entertainment seamlessly with high-end luxury." Ho-ho, that sounds like our type of a Christmas vacation!

"Select guestrooms feature Zune mp3 players and Xbox game stations adjacent to top-shelf mini bars and private dining menus. A one-of-a-kind Microsoft-powered luxury entertainment lounge invites every guest to play, watch, listen, relax. And state-of-the-art Meeting and Event spaces outfitted with inspirational technology means back to business as unusual."

Sure, you may have a few chuckles with some friends staring at a Zune when you already have an iPod, but we're more interested in how well Microsoft plans to integrate this "user experience" into people's homes completely. We've been keeping an eye on the PC giant as they try to gain back market share of the average consumer from Apple and it looks like they're halfway there. We'll be playing with Windows Server in the next few weeks, be sure to check out our coverage then!

Rates start at $190 per night. Call Hotel Sax Chicago for availability.
