Those Jordivayreda Projectteam stairs are hot except for the fact that they are totally dangerous. I'd hate to have to run down them in case of a fire, stumble up them late at night after a couple of drinks, or watch my 3 year old nephew or 75 year old mother slide right on off. Sorry to be a buzz kill, but as a new landlord, I don't think they meet many safety or universal design standards...
As for the Palin decor: Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things.
I love the Jordivayreda stairs too. As for Palin's decor, just no. No.
Whatever anyone thinks of Caribou Barbie aside, that Verona Dresser is just.... oof.
I know it is not to everyone's taste, but I actually love the Verona Dresser!
...Wow. I didn't think it was actually possible to think less of Palin. (I missed that post the first time around!) Quite aside from the cruelty of using dead animals as decor, everything in that room is hidiously tacky!
Maybe it's because I'm a native Westerner but I don't even understand why Palin's office is on this list. She's not going for the AT aesthetic and the office is more interesting than all but a handful of political offices I've been in. And they wouldn't be going for the AT aesthetic either.
Let it go, guys.
bear rug on the floor is understandable, if it's in a castle from another age, but in an energy state's top office? haha and on the sofa! heheh
nice stairs, better if clear tempered glass
I don't see the appeal of the stairs, but i love pharrell's chair. go figure.
How are those stairs structural? I would hate to carry furniture up them.
I'm with thebunnie on this. Let it go.
The truth is beautiful.'Tis a good thing to expose Palin for all that she is. Good job including her decor.
I think not of all 8 above.
I think the stairs are the most dangerous thing I've ever seen that tried to pass itself off as fashionable decor. I suppose the designer would use blade side up knives as a bannister?
Good lord, move on people. Palin is not the Anti-Christ and she's old news anyway. Move on.
As much as I despise Sarah Palin - Our own Teddy Roosevelt did keep many of his hunting trophy's hung in the White House...
...but I agree w/ Seasonably - That dresser is no better than high school bathroom graffiti, disguised as "Art".
I've got to get this off my chest:
To say something is "simplistic" is not a compliment. One definition of simplistic is "simple minded." Other definitions don't stray far from that idea.
And while I'm at it:
its -- a possessive, like "his" (which has no apostrophe), hers (ditto)
it's -- a contraction of the words "it is." The apostrophe takes the place of the space between the words and the "i."
Please make an effort to use these words correctly. Print decorating magazines don't make these mistakes, nor should this web-based one. In other ways, this website is vital, engaging and innovative.
Now Class, say Thank You to Ms. Carol.
Thanks, Carol! Seriously! As a writer and editor, I feel your pain.
