Described in Wallpaper magazine as "modest modernism", House 205 by Barcelona-based H Arquitectes is an inspiration to simple beauty. Anchored in rock on the side of a hill in northern Spain, House 205 was designed to have minimal impact on the environment with a modest budget.

The pine exterior and flush shutters are my favorite elements by H Arquitectes — but be sure to check out the massive bookcases in the double-height living area and along the stairs.
