Name: Monica
Location: Viroqua, Wisconsin
My husband and I remodeled our turn-of-the-century farmhouse completely. It was pretty primitive when we purchased it and I took an entire year to repaint it myself while we lived elsewhere.
The floors were covered in lead paint and the woodwork was dark and partially painted. We replaced some of the windows and had the home completely re-worked for energy efficiency.
The house is mainly furnished with second-hand items and things that I have made. There are always teenagers littering about, bouncing on the trampoline and running barefoot through the rambling gardens or swinging from the rope swing. Our family home is happy, fun and well-loved and super colorful!
Thanks, Monica!

Love that house, especially that scrumdilicious shower curtain. Your house is just beautiful.
Love the pink and yellow, so fresh.
It looks great! I appreciate what a lot of work went into getting it from what it was when you bought it to what we see here today.
Love it. I'd steal it, but my cowboy manly man husband won't let me put pink in our home.
I'm with designrchick, my husband would never allow our house to be so girly. Of course I LOVE this house.
Gorgeous! I would love to see a house tour!
I love this house too. Wonderful color choices!

HOUSE TOUR! HOUSE TOUR! Great colors and such an inviting feel to it.
Would love to know the paint color in the living room/bedroom/bathroom, if they are the same?

Definitely. Hrmf.
Such exuberant colors. I love that.
That yellow wood-paneled space is fabulous.
very lovely - what paint are the pink walls in the sitting room? Thanks!
What is the paint name for the chartreuse room(s)? How odd that others see yellow walls where I see green. I've noticed that before on AT, so I'd better schedule my overdue eye exam. House tour, please!
So cute and feminine! House tour please!
Whaaaaaaaat is that bathmat? I WANTS. Please tell me it is not no-longer-available anthro, or, I dunno, a ringum you personally DIYed....

I don't think you should blame your eyes when it's more likely to be differences between monitors. Though looking again, I see yellow as well... shame, I like chartreuse. I guess we'll find out when the tour happens....
@lepidoptery, thanks, that makes more sense!
Full tour!!!
Hi All! Thanks for your words of encouragement and compliments. I have some answers to the questions that were asked. First, the metallic-looking table is ceramic and from T.J. maxx. The paint colors are as follows: living room-True Value "Hot Pink Kiss" #136-7, bathroom-same, the yellow rooms-True Value "Kingsbury" #3338. The yellow is a greenish yellow, slightly chartreuse. There probably is some variance on computer monitors, and there is also variance with our eyesight. Some people have a "cool" eye, some have a "warm" eye, adding further to our individuality in how we see our world! There will be a house tour soon!
LOVE the acid green beadboard hallway! Great house!! Thanks for sharing.
Your colors are fabulous. I hope you will enter the Colors Contest! I will vote for you!
