Deanna Bracken's former Franklin Hills home has been profiled as a house tour and also as a Fall Colors Contest entry before, a space that has gone through some dramatic transformations in colour and layout. And now Deanna has sent a selection of new photos showcasing her new home with a more sophisticated and sedate mood...take a look at what she's done decorating a new space...

Whoa, mama---gorgeous! I'm in love. I like your style, Deanna, I like your texture combos. Genius!
some nice elements, but to me looks more like an identity crisis.
is that white cabinet ( under the yellow painting in the living room) an iPod speaker? If so do you have a source. Thanks.
Beautiful.
that's the Geneva Sound System from Design within Reach
I don't often pop open AT and say "oh wow!" The implementation of your imagination and vision is inspirational (alliteration not intended). Many of these images are now saved to my computer! I'm not a fan of animal-based design, but the exotic appearance is subtle and refined. I see no identity crisis, just complex personality.
Love the zebra throw, can you tell me where its from!
Does anyone know where these chairs came from?
You can buy the Geneva unit with free shipping here:

Hm...When I click on the thumbnails to enlarge, I get the search results for "house call". Would love to see more.
Hmmm. I dig the sofa, but nothing on it. The whole place seems a bit psychotic and overwrought to me. The space planning in the living room works though, I like that you've not pushed everything against the walls, kudos for that. You know what it is, it's that yellow in the DR that's really throwing me off, it needs to go. Perhaps a stripe that works in a dark grey and a value of your chosen blue accent there on the chairs and pillows? I would also, if it were me, find a nice fabric and have a custom table cloth made, replace the coffee table to reflect your mid-century mix in the middle of that grouping (a platner to mimic your Bertoia in the corner?), clean up the mantle and beg your landlord to let me paint that dated fireplace. I hope I'm not being off-puttingly critical, I'm just giving my opinion. Cheers!
Does anyone know where the blue dining table chairs came from? (needed to clarify which chairs) Thanks.
I like the white side table with the blue petals on it in the last 2 pictures.
Any idea where it's from?
Vast improvement, the space seems much more cohesive this time around
Hello! I love your site and wanted to let you know that I gave you a shout out on mine. I love Deanna's dining room. The blue chairs really pop against the warm woods. Also, those moldings are great! I think she did a great job!

Fun and sexy.
I like it a lot. And I'd love to know what the wall color is in the living room.
I have to agree with amt230
I think it has a very high end sleek look. I'm personally not talented enough to pull together something this cool. I like how their is more of a blend of colors than decor items. Gives it a cool edge.
Love the Living Room
Hate the Dining Room (tho I like the way the color of the chairs carry over from elements of the living room.)
Hallway is weird (What's w/ the white lines everywhere?)
Woah! I'm blown away. Love love love it--especially the wall colours.
What is this yellow painting in the living area - it looks very familiar in style to the one i have.
Love the dining chairs in that color with the wood. Great combo!
I am intrigued that people find this home to be having an identity crisis. I can appreciate that this is eclectic because of its unifying color themes.
Well done!
Oh also the dining room chairs are panton s-chairs. The originals can be a little pricey, but there are off brand replicas available for more modest budgets.
Does anyone know where I can find a coffee table like this? If you can even tell me what style it is may help. Thanks!
1GH: just an FYI, you're clicking on the thumbnails specifically for our past series of house calls at the bottom of the post ("Other House Calls From the Archives"). The thumbnails at the top are related to this interior space.
Wow! Major cool factor. Traditional home with a modern, quirky and clever interpretation. NOTHING about it is worthy of hate and the dining room especially ROCKS! The Blue is strong but it totally works. You have a great eye. Please decorate my crib.
I'm all for eclectic, but I don't think the pieces in this home work together in the way intended. Edit a bit, shop around and try again!
I LOVE the elements. Could live w/out all the dark paint.
The "click for more pics" link below thumbs returns to same pg. *gr* Tease me, then, fine.
Been frazzled; may I come over w/my yerba matè and curl feet under self on your couch? I love when nesting choices result in black (is it?) walls feeling calming instead of dark. Rad fp screen tease.
Overall: plenty cohesive, super-functional, enough pause to breathe, color and texture playful and alive while being grown-up, pretty much uniquely you right now. A true home. What's not to love? I hope I'm not being off-puttingly agreeable.
(& my usual question, dr wall color, pleeease?)
those blue panton chairs mix so well in that space! congrats
