Jaime wrote in to us awhile ago inquiring about entering the 2009 Fall Colors Contest, as she wanted to enter her stylishly appointed Sunset Blvd. pad. Unfortunately, Jaime notified us that she's moving in the near future, so she offered her several photos of her home as a House Call instead, letting us peek inside at what would have undoubtedly been a popular Fall Colors entry. I love that shade of blue in your living room! Any idea what paint color that is?
Ewwww, that's the Laguna complex in Sunset Junction, isnt it? What a waste of money. And an eyesore to boot.
I like the living room, a lot.
rlmesq: I too share the distaste for that development which is just down the street from us, mostly because it's so physically dominating and not in tune with the rest of the neighborhood. But I do like what Jaime has done with her space, so I've warmed up a tad.
OOH! can you please tell me where the turquoise couch is from? I love it!
Your bathroom wallpaper is amazing. It's my favorite one that Fern Living makes!
Gorgeous!
Wondering what the sq. footage is...?
If I lived there, I think I'd want the inside to reflect the outside.
hi, that's my place, thanks for posting it AT. i'm so sad to leave before getting to enter the contest! it's not the laguna complex, that's a senior citizens home and is pretty nice, this is next door, the Sunset Silver Lake complex. it was a great place to live and all the people who live there are a wonderful community, but it does take some warming up as it is a little industrial and kind of out of step with the nieghborhood. everyone has customized their units so beautifully inside it is fun to see how unique and warm they can become.
the wall color is awesome right! i actually took that ferm living wall paper that is in the bathroom to par paint in echo park and they matched it for me. it took me a year to decide what color to paint and i love it because it changes with the light throughout the day.
the couch i got at the dock downtown and that color was a fabric option - they advised me against it but i am glad we went for it. too bad that place went out of business, they even put a queen size fold out bed inside that couch. the square footage is 1455 plus 250 for the deck.
thanks for your nice words! i will miss my house! it's for sale if anyone's interested...
