The Ampersand Pillow is our favorite
Today I have a cool home resource with an unlikely story. House Industries is a font shop/collective down in Delaware that's been around since the early '90's. Along the way they've not only become BIG in the world of font design, they've also used their design skills to branch out into a number of other related areas, designing pilows, bags, games and even the production of Richard Neutra Boomerang chair from 1942. Hard to find, I think they are a great little resource for the hard core design lover and I love their pillows. Enjoy!...

Alexander Girard amassed a huge collection of nativities during his lifetime, and this one is based on a drawing he did that hangs in his son's house.

They call this their Neutra pillow, inspired by the work of Richard Neutra.

House numbers and letters made out of dimensional metal, drawn from the Alexander Girard font collection.

They call this the Simian E pillow.

This is an Ampersand cutting board!

When did Brian Wilson move to Delaware?
Still, she's real fine my 409!
Oh sweet, this is 40 minutes from my old home. I kind of think that D.C. should have this one, since they do have Philadelphia. :)

I love House Industries! They had a sale at their old office couple of weeks ago and we stocked up on pillow cases and artwork. We also got to meet a couple of the guys.
I also agree with Laura that this should have been a D.C. listing.
Dear Laura,
you are sooooo right! I wrote the post before I knew where they were located, but although they're really an online shop, DC should have this...
