We love experimenting with new trends, testing to see if they would work with our style and updating our spaces. If you like Pantone's turquoise, try trolling the blog, House of Turquoise. This blog brings you nothing but turquoise — in accents, interiors, paint colors and more.
Spotted in a Washington Post "At Home" e-mail, House of Turquoise is written by a woman who also maintains the Decor by Color blogs, dedicated to helping readers find accessories and décor in specific colors.
We showcase the inspiration rooms found under the "Turquoise and Yellow" category, because we're all about brights these days. We already loved pink and yellow, and this hot blue color just adds to the fun.

I love that shower!
I also love that shower. I would be the cleanest clean girl that ever lived if that was my shower.
The pendant from the first image is great, is that a Fortuny fixture?
I want to marry for Fortuny chandelier.
I have been a big fan of this blog for quit some time, I check weekly for my turquoise fix.
I do love that bedroom its beachy with sophistication.
Yes, that shower is incredible! I really like that living room, too.
I can't get over the shower! It's so classy.
Those rooms are great - Esp the first one...
Well, except for #2 - The bed next to the stove seems so "Depression Era"...
hi all - the chairs in the main photo (the pair of highbacks) - does anyone know that era/designer?
i have a pair of those that i found at a thrift store in virginia. they were pepto pink velvet and i had them painted glossy black, had the seats overstuffed with down, and had them reupholstered in nubby linen. would be great to get info on them.
Funny, I thought the bed next to the stove was rather normal. I could be very happy in that room--and have been very happy in such situations. The only problem would be food dripping on the bed. Spluttering pasta sauces, brimming stews, over-enthusiastically stirred stir fry, spurting tea pots ....
Holy shamoly - there's an entire blog devoted to my favourite colour?
I just put this colour on 2 of my bedroom walls. It's delightful!
I love the bed in the kitchen. Although it should be farther from the stove, it is a great place for kids to nap during the day and because it does remind me of a working farm.
If you've been up half the night with sick livestock, you can crash in the kitchen until breakfast time without waking the rest of the household. That can also apply to anyone with a job that keeps them up nights. Cops, volunteer firefighters.
More to the point, I love the colors in these rooms.
That shower is amazing. Does anyone have any idea where someone could find it, or one like it?
I'd never considered owning a "claw-foot" shower stall until now...
Can you please tell me where you bought the curtain rod in the living room. I have been doing without curtains in my living room because I have not been able to find one. Please help!!!!
House of Turquoise is an awesome site, but it's tricky to find turquoise furniture like those in the pics. Turquoise furniture such as ottomans, chairs, chaises, sofas, and headboards can be harder to find than one may think, even after searching the web and not wanting to spend a small fortune. Since turquoise is the color of the year and is also my favorite color I thought I would make a comment for others like myself.
I have been working with a custom furniture designer in the UK. Her name is Elaine and her company is Obama Catering Furniture. I just adore the color turquoise and initially contacted her to have a turquoise chaise made. I had such a hard time finding anything like that in the US. This month I had her make me a turquoise and chocolate armless chair. Her furniture is BEAUTIFUL!! She can use any fabric and style imaginable and her prices are super reasonable even for shipping overseas.
If anyone is interested in seeing pics of her furniture or would like to contact her please shoot me an email at superk1216@yahoo.com.
