Sarah Williams over at The Scout posted a fantastic piece on the home and workspace of Andy Cruz, founder of House Industries in Delaware. Cruz, a graphic designer who specializes in custom type, has a keen eye for midcentury decor and quirky collections.
The next frontier for the company will be interiors, and it has already embarked on a collaboration with Heath Ceramics to produce house numbers in their Neutra and Eames fonts. It is no accident that some of the prized vintage furniture in Cruz's personal space is done by these very designers. A warm color palette unites the highly contemporary lettering work that hangs throughout the home with organic-feeling midcentury selections.
