Inspiration for our home: Color, and making different colors work together. I found that two colors per room was way better than one. Why not?
Favorite element: The natural light and the windows that let it in.>>Enter Slideshow
Biggest challenge in designing our home: We moved from an apartment that had tons more space and two huge bathrooms. Our biggest challenge was trying to fit everything in.
What friends say about our home: Our friends love the colors that we used, also that it really shows off our personalities. They also like the simplicity of the decorations. They are just not allowed in the garage.
Biggest embarrassment in our home: I hate the kitchen floor. As soon as we can, we want to redo the kitchen. Also we used the wrong kind of paint in the bathroom.
Proudest DIY: Our first and only project so far has been the shelving unit in the office. We designed the layout and bought all the individual pieces ourselves. Rather than buying a pre-designed set and spending twice the amount of money. Or it would be our kitchen table, but that was more of a good find and some spray paint.
Biggest indulgence with respect to our home: The ability to dream of new things to take the place of what we already have.
Best advice given or received: Don't be afraid to try things. If you don't like the paint colors you can repaint.
Our dream source for stuff: A place that is a mix between secondhand, Acme furniture, and Gilgamesh, but still at Goodwill prices.
Sears, Williams-Sonoma, and Crate and Barrel.

Dumpsters, I found my dresser in front of my neighbor's house.
Still looking for kitchen chairs.
Miller Paint and Home Depot.
Rugs and Carpets:
Friends and ourselves.

(Editor's note: We're leaving the comments off for this one. Emily and Damon just want to share their house!)
