Have you ever wanted to step inside one of our house tours and take an actual look around the room? Well, now you can in our very first 360 video House Tour! (You'll need the latest version of Chrome, Firefox or Edge to view.) We visited the home of of Marisa and Peter Vitale (and their super cute kiddos!) in Venice, California. We toured their home years ago, and not only has their style evolved over the years (that you can see very clearly in this video), but Marisa is actually a house tour photographer for Apartment Therapy now!

Go ahead and play the video — and then hold down your mouse to scroll around the room, looking in whatever direction you choose. As Marisa and Peter describe specific elements in each room, scroll around the space to look at the actual items they are describing!
Beautiful curved archways and a high ceiling in the living room give this classic Spanish Colonial Revival style house a stately sense of architecture. But it's this fun-loving family's approach to design that has infused this home with so much joy and personality.
Peter is a principal planner for the City of Santa Monica, working with the community to create a vision for the future of Santa Monica; it's kind of the coolest job ever. Marisa is a California native who loves traveling, is an amazing photographer, and also has urban planning experience. There are two sets of twins that live in this house: adorable human twin kiddos Oliver and Macy and twin Siamese cats, Choco and Blu!
In their first house tour survey, Marisa and Peter described their style as "global, found/reclaimed and repurposed, warm, quirky, anything with a story behind it," and they say that their inspiration is "little corners from all over the world." As you tour their home now a few years later, you can see that all still holds true.
Their home is filled with intriguing finds picked up on their travels, as well as an eclectic mix of vintage items and bold patterns. But most of all? This is a home where FUN is a big part of the look. From the dreamy DIYed front yard play space to Marisa's office that doubles as a creative kid zone, this is a home that sports a not-so-serious sense of style.
→ A HUGE thank you to our wonderful contributor Marisa and her beautiful family!
As we mentioned, this is our first 360 house tour, and we appreciate Marisa, Peter, the kiddos and the cats letting us share their home! You can follow Marisa on Instagram, and check out her photos at Marisa Vitale Photography.
