We've had a taste of Deana Bracken's home before, a vibrant ode to the Southern California's bright and cheery colours and an inspiring mix of vintage and modern that spans decades in design motifs. Her entry in last fall's Color Contest received an honorable mention. Now, we get to check back in with Deana, who is kind enough to share the rest of her home. Read more after the jump.

Inspiration: My grandmother's house and our gorgeous Los Angeles surroundings.

Our Style: James Mont meets Mica Ertegun - dramatic & always changing.

Favorite element: The details from the 20's (the mouldings, windows, etc.) I could never live anywhere built after 1980.

Biggest Challenge: Entertaining tons & working - in a small bungalow

What friends say: Can they move in when I/we leave?

Biggest Embarrassment: cat hair; we have 4, so it's a daily struggle to keep up
Proudest DIY: the trees in the hallway
Biggest Induglence: our signed Slim Aaron's Poolside Gossip. I stare at it everyday; it transcends me
Best Advice: Live with what you love
