Behind the restored Federalist facade of Ellen Weiman and Dubi Silverstein's West Village town house, hides a modern home that resembles an Eames storage unit. The combination of white walls, brightly colored panels and industrial textures keep the space casual and comfortable and lets the collections within stand out...
The couple have a love of mid-century furniture and collect vintage travel posters and board games. Check out the complete story from The New York Times: 1890s Outside, Loftlike Inside.

wow, what a bright and sunny place!
wow thats amazing!!!
what an incredible space.
oh, to be rich.
i like the back of the townhouse.
otherwise, money doesn't buy taste. get rid of the mondrian inspiration and buy some art instead of vintage posters.
I love the Mondrian inspired panels and mid-century pieces; a fabulous mix of vintage and modern
To each his own, modernemama. I like the vintage posters.
I absolutely love this house. It seems that white walls work in everyone else's modern home other my own.
The townhouse looks great, the art posters is nice. Is it me or does the furniture fall far short. They spent all that money on the building and art, but they furnished the house with garage sale findings. We all like to find deals but there is a difference between a real Eames lounge and the bad copy.
drool.
boring...it looks like every other "rich mid century modern lover"'s apartment.
Beautiful job. What's wrong with vintage posters? The man is a serious collector, according to the article. Everybody's a f$%&*! critic...
Some people are waaaay full of themselves, GHB. Money doesn't buy good manners, either.
eh. doesn't do it for me. And, no offense but, those kids need to get out in the fresh air.....never mind. It's totally unimpressive. The kitchen is so "Poggen Pohl" http://www.poggenpohl.de/ENG/315_ENG_HTML.htm but too uninteresting to me. Not enough 'touch' to it. I firmly believe that with less money, people are more creative and inspired.....
I like the bedroom.
A negative comment about children??? Talk about "unimpressive"!
I love the starburst-like light fixtures over the stairwell. Would you share where you got them or any ideas where I could find them? I have not been able to find similar ones. Thank you.
hey Laurie... I think they're sputnik lamps, or at least inspired by. Simple search on google, and you'll find a store for sure.
Anyways, can't believe I found this post! I was these folk's dog sitter for years. Such a lovely spacious house. Darling hearted people... and the bathrooms were to die for. Too bad there were no pictures of those...
