Michael's Calm TriBeCa Apartment

House Tour

Name: Michael & Ralphie (1-year old King Charles Cavalier)
Location: TriBeCa
Size: about 600 square feet
Years lived in: rented for 2.5 years

A sense of calm overtakes you when you enter Michael's apartment. Off a busy street in TriBeCa, the home is soothing and quiet — regarding both noise (soundproof windows) and the clean decor. Michael’s neutral palette and classic furniture show off his growing art collection and the lovely bones of his one-bedroom apartment.

The outer walls have exposed brick and iron braces, which Michael has mostly left uncovered. An architect by training, Michael was drawn to the apartment's brick walls, great light, and nice finishings. One of Michael's architectural drawings is hanging in the foyer, but he prefers to hang the artwork of his friends and other artists. The home is a cozy place where Michael is able to work and entertain friends.
