Sharilyn Wright is the creative wonder behind Lovely Design, a Vancouver one-woman design studio. She's also happens to be a good friend whom I've stayed in touch with since her move back from Los Angeles to her hometown of Vancouver. Sharilyn has been so kind to let us all peek inside her inspiring studio space, where she continues to design and hand make beautiful products for the home, like her most recent "Beautiful Leaves of Canada".

White Enamel Flatwa...
sweet! thanks for sharing this. i love her work ... and her studio. especially those glossy wood floors. and the collections (little houses, globes).
what a beautiful, light and airy place to work. really inspiring - i love it. beautiful colors and cool accessories. i'm off to chinatown for some boxes! :)
She gives me hope. One can be creative and messy! No one ever shows a studio in "working mode" of clutter etc... I am so happy she shared the secret verbally if not in picture.
Lovely place to work. Charming.
I also appreciate a woman having a crappy pregnancy. I took the whole thing as a sign from God a little over fourteen years ago: we adopted our second child! (And we're Catholic!)
So pretty! I wanted more than 9 pictures!
I love the color scheme.
Wow this is so pretty and organized!
please tell us what color you painted the walls. It's the perfect aqua!
the color pallette is so wonderful...what a great space...
Lovely!
I knew I would love this place right from the teaser picture. I agree with tin_angel "more...pictures!"
What an atmospheric tour of a beautiful work space. However, where's the desk? Clean or messy, pretty tools or utilitarian tools, I'm always so grateful when craftspeople show us what keeps their hands busy as well as what keeps their eyes busy.
Gorgeous - and I also agree with tin_angel
Love the blue on the walls! What is the color?
one of my favorite studio spaces ever -- love the palette, the blue color of the walls, and the thoughtfully chosen accessories.
"I've had several people asking me what the colour of my studio walls are. I want to let them know that I actually had a custom colour done for me at Benjamin Moore as I could never find that perfect blue i looked forever for! So.. I called them at Benjamin Moore and they have it in their system for everyone now.
it is: 565-1B "custom blue-green" or the formula is:
OY - 4
BK - 9
TG - 12.75and I believe that it was in an eggshell base paint.
Hope that helps everyone out!

Thanks so much for sharing your paint color!!
I just came home from my local B.Moore store and they told me they couldn't make the paint from this formula as it didn't tell them what base it calls for or whether it's a formula for a gallon or quart. I was so dissappointed. I even made them recheck in their computer to be sure and no luck! Any chance you have this info??? I'd be eternally grateful!
this studio is stunning, I love vintage maps and globes! what a lovely collection. perfectly lived-in yet organized and streamlined. straight out of real simple.
I am also on the hunt for this color. I spoke with Benjamin Moore and they said that the 565 1B is wrong. It has to be either N 319 or 274 (eggshell bases).
I hope you can help. We love your color!!!
Hope this helps everyone, but I emailed her and got the right formula:
Benjamin Moore ECOspec Pastel Base 223-1B
OY ox 4.0000
BK Ox 9.0000
TG Ox 12.7500
Thanks for getting the formula for the paint. I'm going to see what they can come up for me.
Questions: How did you get your hard wood floors looking so shiny? In my "new to me" apartment, the floors could use some sprucing up -- but of course I'm not about to have them refinished. Is there a quick, inexpensive solution that you might recommend? Also, the plain white boxes you've used for storage -- where are those from? They look like ones from Ikea. Do they match the magazine holders? I really like how they look.
Thanks!
Yay, Vancouver! I loved seeing how an office that needs lots of storage handles this... looking organized but still really creative. The AT slideshows go WAY too fast, though.
Pretty! it's nice to see the paper lanterns. I have one in my dining nook but have always harbored a little doubt that maybe it looks cheap. We should all be more confident about our choices.
lovely
Love her space. The light, the organization and her attention to detail! I'll have to check out her work!
what about the nice milky creamy white on the trim? what is that? if you're going to use the blue, we all might as well know the trim which i think is part of the reason why the blue really shines.
Man, this place looks great....it kind of gives me a little hope that I can do more with my space! I've got 320 including the bathroom, which is probably about 25% of my space
This studio has inspired me so much in my decorating! Sharilyn is talented and creative to say the least. Just looking at these photos makes me want to remodel- again! :)
Can I live here?!
What an amazing place to go to work every day.
