OK all you North End-ers, we've got a house tour coming up next Tuesday that you're sure to love. It is a shared weekend apartment for two Nantucket-based architects and their families and it packs quite the small, cool punch. We'll have much more next week but for now, just some eye candy from the bedroom. We love these hanging bedside lamps to add drama and save space...

Bedside lighting can really set a distinct tone from other spaces in the house, day or night, and these little pendants are no different. We also like the contrast of the delicate lights hanging in front of that quintessential North End brick wall. More next week!

I love the hanging bedside lamps and the colors!!
i think this is one of the only tasteful uses of text as decor. (even though it says dream above a bed)
those are some nice letters. they look like they should be on the outside of a hip hotel!
very snazzy set-up.
I figure if you got to spell out what you are supposed to do in the space the designer didn't do his/her job properly.
This is aesthetically pleasing but it's not warm at all. It seems like there should be a TM at the end of the word. And I don't think those hanging lamps would be very conducive to reading in bed.
I think the DREAM letters would be best used in a hotel or something. I love them, but agree that you should label your home (sit written on the sofa, eat written in the kitchen, etc.). Lovely room though.
@Comicgeek: hehe. I think you're right.
This is a pretty space, but it feels very staged, like something in a showroom.
a better font and material does not an acceptable "dream" decor make.
Seaside: best quote of the day. I am picturing a lot of scripty "dream" signs at the craft market. Hilarious.
it's putting me to sleep already.
