If you thought stairs were scary, check out this concrete spiral slide that's part of a family home in Indonesia.
The concrete slide connects a 5-year-old's bedroom with the open plan kitchen on the main level. Visible from the home's exterior, the slide is situated over a pond in the yard.
The home is the design of architects at Aboday.

looks like fun!
it would be better if they painted it , less scarier !
ummmm that is AWESOME
That's great! If I had a two-story house and children I'd definitely build one. I'd use plastic, wood, or sheet metal though, not concrete, too hard.
I would ride it more than my kids!
And why do they have a door that leads to a pond?
Fun! I'd want it to be clear plexi though. I think they probably have the door so that they can easily feed the fish from inside.
Can you really slide on concrete? I love the idea, but the material choice is confounding. Even in the kitchens I've seen with highly polished, sealed concrete counter tops, they aren't really what I would call smooth. I'm so curious I wish there was a video about it!
Wow, that's fun! I would ride it a lot if it's my house!
would be even more interesting if it's made of clear material where as a person slides, the view outside can be seen as well...
OMGosh.. next time I build, we might have to consider one of these.
Concrete slides! I love it. Check out these closer to home.

Wheeeee...what fun!
Good luck getting a permit for something like this anywhere in the United States!! (I would still try!)
I have often though spiral slides would be far better than fire escape stairs; harder to climb up (for security), and even the infirm could get down them.
couldn't you get chapped after a while?
can you actually slide on concrete?
ooh.. chapping doesn't sound fun @organizetips
don't worry i'll slide in my pants.. weeheee!
Yes, you can slide on concrete. I did, all through my childhood, at playgrounds with crazy cool tunnels like this one! It gets smooth and slick really fast. Lucky kids.
Clapping paws.... slide GOOD!
