We hope everyone is enjoying and voting on AT: The Nursery's first Smallest, Coolest Contest. We limited entries to those homes that are 1000 sf or less. But do you know how that compares to the size of the average American home? Apparently, the average American home is 2,330 sf! This despite the fact that the average American family is comprised of 3.14 people only. 35% of households have children under the age of 18. The median square feet per person in the U.S. is 752.
