Housing Works is a fantastic New York organization that raises money for those afflicted with AIDS. They have thrift stores scattered throughout the city that accept donations in order to support the lifesaving mission. Design on a Dime is an annual Housing Works event where over 40 interior designers create vignettes from items available for sale, and proceeds go directly the cause.
This Thursday, an opening night reception will be taking place for Housing Works' annual Design on a Dime event at 6PM at Metropolitan Pavilion. If you can't make the party, the event will be free and open to the public this Friday and Saturday as well. You'll be able to shop for home accessories, furniture, and linens selected by top tastemakers.
If you'd like to make a tax-deductible donation or get some more information, please visit Housing Works here.
