Made in Chicago. This Hothouse table was designed by Helen Maria Nugent for "urbanites who crave green" and it's corian top has holes sized precisely to fit the diameter of easily accessible and affordable standard clay plant pots. The table was inspired by a piece of architecture, the Maison Bordeaux by Rem Koolhaas. It is part of a current show of furniture where all the pieces have that in commmon - the furniture integrates architectural concepts. This Chicago Furniture Designers Association exhibition at IIT is titled "Form Follows Form". The "Form Follows Form" show is open thorough October 28 at the Paul V. Galvin Library at IIT. All info, including hours is available here. Thanks, Helen and Dana!
