The typical desk grommet is a simple plastic liner with a hole to allow for wires to run from the underside of a desk to the components sitting above it. Although functional, this doesn't usually make for a very clean look. The hovering desk grommet gives the design of this mundane desk feature a twist. The different metallic finishes are an instant improvement over plastic but it is the floating effect that really makes the design. With the hole in the desk no longer visible, the wires simply appear from underneath. A little bit of thought and care in running the wires to the desktop components and you should be able to achieve a nice organized workspace.
