How Can I Give My Rental Some Character?

Good Questions

Q: I have just moved into a new rental and unlike my other places is has loads of character on the outside but none on the inside. It is very very neutral. My main places of problem are my bathroom - which has no windows and I really don't like the sink - and also living room/dining room. I like a very rustic look, like dark woods and wood burning fires, earthy tones and different textures. Obviously with it being a rental I am limited to what I can do, I am not bothered about putting holes in the walls or painting but I can't really wallpaper. Any help, especially with the bathroom would be great!!
