For those of us who have an outdoor space to call their own, it can be tricky to know where to start when it comes to building up an entertainment or sound system outdoors. Which speakers do you choose? How about wiring and making it all run via remote control? Are you still in the dark — if so, let us know what you need a little help with after the jump.
Purchasing things for the inside of our home can seem daunting and even more so when the products are headed outside. There's the chance that the elements might destroy them or get trampled by passing children or pets and so it can be rough to fathom spending that extra cash to finish off your outside space.
Although you can always bust out the boombox, building in an audio or video system can make a space even more enjoyable, especially when it means you're not running to flip a record and apologizing for the crappy sound of your speakers.
What part about outdoor entertainment scares you the most? Do you have any questions or just want to see more cool products? Worried about the elements or environments that see harsh winters or extra humid summers? Sound off in the comments below!

It would be nice to see well designed tech savvy outdoor areas in general. More specifically good outdoor speakers, wireless or wired, and some fabulous lighting would be great.
What would be the most comfy way to lounge outdoor with an ipad?
Say: you have to be protected from the sun, have the wi-fi handy if possible, be sure not to eject it from the hamoc, and being comfortable in a garden armachair is even more of a challenge!
I'd like to know more about outdoor wireless speakers and how to set them up from a stereo and/or iPod inside the house. Will static or interference be a problem? In addition, will wireless speakers really stand up to the elements? Will strong winds affect the sound? And what if they get rained on? Thanks for considering our questions!
