Q: My boyfriend and I just signed the lease on a beautiful apartment in San Francisco. The only downside is this awful heating unit, which juts out of the (nonworking) fireplace.
It's the only heat source in the apartment, so any efforts to cover it have to be removable or made of a material that can stand up to heat. We're planning to put photographs along the top shelf of the fireplace, and are discussing some sort of table-like cover on which we can similarly place photos and prints. The heater juts out from the fireplace about 22", and the tiled area of the fireplace is 36" by 36". Please help!
