Q: I'm having a party this weekend, but I don't think the current location of my couch is best for mingling. Each section including the ottoman can be removed and arranged separately. I've included the photos and a rough layout of the room. Part of the problem is the size of the couch versus the space, but I was hoping that you creative and wonderful people would have some suggestions.

If you are not using your fireplace, consider using that wall to break up the couch.
Other furniture placement info would be helpful- but at first glance, I'd pull the chaise out and swing it around in front of the TV to face the rest of the sofa- and pull the two sofa seats into the are where the chaise currently resides so you get a little corridor of space adjacent to the front door for people arriving and leaving.
Can I assume you have other pieces opposite the sofa? In that case I'd just pull out the ottoman and put it in front of the fireplace. Unless you have a fire, it will be too hot. If you don't have other pieces of furniture pull the sofa apart and essentailly put them in the corners of the room or as a grouping in front of the fireplace. Put the ottoman in the corner by the dining room. The beauty of the ottoman is you can face in any direction to chat with someone or two can sit back to back.
My wife and just faced the same challenge this past weekend: L-shaped sectional, 635 sq.ft. condo and 21 guests. We separated the couch and put it on opposite ends of the room with a few chairs in between. No one ever sits in the corner seats. We double our seating, doubled the size feel of the space and the party was great!
Can you place anything on the Sunroom wall? Keep 2 peices where they are and then swing 2 peices over to the sunroom side of the room.
For a party you want multiple pockets for conversation and maximum circulation (and floor space for dancing). Break your set up to a fainting couch arrangement upon entering near the fireplace where people can come and go based on temperature (center piece with its back facing the wall opposite the entrance) And make a love seat with the two corner pieces nearer the sunroom or tv area. Leave a large space in the center of the room. GREAT sofa by the way? Would you mind sharing the source?
