Just like furniture, your gadgets can get a beaten down over the years. Mobile devices are even more prone to wear and tear. Take a look at your phone. Even with a case you've probably got a some dulled down spots.
The MacRumors Forum has a great tutorial on how to wax on and wax off your iPhone back to its shiny beginnings. The project isn't for the faint at heart, so if you don't feel comfortable dry sanding, wet sanding, and polishing your phone, skip ahead my friend.
But if you're willing to put some elbow grease and time into it, you too can get your iPhone to once again look like it did when you ran out to get it.
While you gain a shiny new but old iPhone, you do lose the logo and iPhone branding on the back. We kind of like it, but we know how much that dang Apple logo can mean to people.

without the logo how is everyone going to know it is an iPhone?
It would be a total bitch, but you could probably cut out a teeny vinyl sticker to cover the logo, then apply your black wax, then remove the sticker, and apply clear wax if you wanted to maintain your logo.
I was kidding, I'd prefer no logo. Sorry if I confused
Without the branding, Apple won't service it under warranty.
If your phone is that scratched up, it's probably well past warranty anyway.
anyone know how to repair a very minor scratch to the glass?
