Most dollhouses are made for specially-sized dolls; even Barbies are too big to fit in them. If you have a child who really wants their larger dolls to have a place to call home, then this upscaled version should do the trick. You certainly have to have some dedicated space, but if you do, the giant-sized dollhouse can give a home to any American Girl doll or other 18" doll.
Ana notes that the most time consuming part of the process was cutting out windows and doors, but in general it seems like a pretty straightforward project. Using trim covers up any imperfections in your cut lines. Then paint and decorate any way you want, letting the kids loose on as much of the process as you can.
