If you're obsessed with LEGOs like Martin Storbeck is, you absolutely need this Ikea hack to store your goods.

It took a couple MANDAL headboards found in an as-is section at the local IKEA to spin Martin's imagination. He figured that they could work with binder clips and boxes found at IKEA as well.
All he needed to do was to fit the metal loops on the clips to the hinges of the boxes, then clip each box to the newly mounted headboards.
This could work great for puzzle pieces as well, or any small toys like Playmobils, etc.

LEGO.
Not LEGOs.
Please learn this.
Thanks.
Impressive. I need storage for my all my art and crafts supplies and thought this might do but with the boxes being held up by large paper clips, I fear te heavier items will tumble.
:o(
That's really clever. I wouldn't do it with kids, because you just know the cases will get bumped and scatter Legos all over the place, but for adults, it's a really good idea.
I can just imagine a child pulling on these, snapping the binder clips and plastic flying everywhere.
Does it scratch it all up?
This set-up seems a little precarious for my kids, but the boxes he used (small and large GLIS boxes) are both awesome and inexpensive for LEGO storage. I detailed our LEGO storage setup using these boxes on my personal blog: http://justlikethenumber.com/2012/06/lego-storage-for-young-builders/
