If you've been following along with our Guide to the Perfect Summer, you're probably not going to be surprised to know that prepping for a party means that you'll be inviting guests in and through your home. A clean house and outdoor area is certainly welcoming, but good news! — it doesn't have to be perfect. Here's how to make the task of cleaning up inside and out go smoothly.
First check out this post: The Stress Free Plan: How To Clean House for a Party
In it you'll find a master list of cleaning tasks you should tackle 5- 7 days before your party, how to maintain that cleanliness level throughout the week before the party, and what you should to for the best impression the day before or day of your party.
Want to use this gathering as motivation to really get a good deep cleaning in?

Run out of time?
Hey, we're all busy. You may not have had time to deep clean your house a month ahead of time of a party! Don't worry, there are still plenty of ways you can clean your home in an hour (or make your home look cleaner than it is)! Try one of these posts:
Give a last minute spruce up to your outdoor area
If you're throwing your party mostly outdoors and following along with us, your outdoor area is hopefully pretty clean (like from the tips you found in this post: Top Tips & Inspiration: Cleaning & Repairing Your Outdoor Area
) and ready to receive guests by now. But, one last sweep of your floor surfaces is helpful. As is a swipe or dusting of your patio furniture and seating. Also take a quick look around your outdoor area or backyard. Are there maintenance items or things that don't belong in view? Temporarily stash them so that your outdoor area becomes a blank slate to be colored in by guests, good food and fun conversation. And make sure you've got some anti-bug measures
