The web has how-to instructions for everything...even things you didn't know required directions. Most people know how to clean a bedroom, but to learn the secret to cleaning it in 10 minutes, we turned to WikiHow:
WikiHow's tips for cleaning the bedroom in under 10 minutes:
• Get your cleaning supplies together: garbage bag, surface cleaner, broom, dustpan, etc.
• Give yourself a set amount of time for each task. For example, 1-2 minutes per step.
• Pick up anything that's not in its proper place.
• Gather all of the misplaced items on the top of your dresser or on your bed.
• Pick up each item and put it where it belongs.
• If there's no specific place for an item, put it in a separate pile.
• Make your bed, dust the furniture surfaces, and sweep or vacuum.
• Find a spot for each of the items in your misplaced pile.
If you want to be more thorough, give yourself 20 or 30 minutes, but try not to get stuck on any one step. Keep moving and you'll be finished faster.

huh? this was worth posting? Great picture tho! :)
lovely bedroom! However, I certainly hope that people already know how to clean.
Alternative - everything in a laundry basket, basket in the tub, curtain drawn, skip the vacuuming, make the bed. Time for guests!
Even better alternative: keep the door closed.
This presupposes the bedroom is in reasonably good condition to begin with.
Head/desk, head/desk. I have to get to work on decluttering.
Or, like my parents taught me from a very young age, once you're done with it, put it back. Because guests in 10 minutes? Who cares, the place already looks put together.
Channeling my mom, "Where do dirty clothes go? In the dirty clothes hamper; which is not the floor nor the chair."
pick up dust bunnies with your socks! Feet are great dusters
I love that little table. Any guesses on where it's from?
My cat once got into my ventilation system and fell through the duct system into the furnace (thankfully it was summer and the furnace was off). It occurred to me later that I could spray her with Endust or Pledge and clean out my duct work.
That bedroom is perfect.
kimg924...LOL
"This presupposes the bedroom is in reasonably good condition to begin with."
Which is generally not saying much. If any room is kept in reasonably good condition it's easy to tidy it up with these steps or your own. The hard part is making sure each room is in that condition, and that can take hours or days! In my experience all the music in the world doesn't make a difference.
kimg924 That is an image that will stay with me for a long time. Maybe you could even rent her out and call her "Kitty Kleaner".
Wow I love that chair. Can anyone source it?
I love that gray!
Ditto on the gray. First person who sources that wall color (or something insanely close) gets a cookie.

According to Living ect "Elsie armchair, designed by Russell Pinch for SCP"

They don't mention the paint though :(
Thanks, GR. Gorgeous chair. Too bad it costs two month's rent.
Looooving that gray, no idea what it is though.
I'm liking cement gray from Benjamin Moore, as seen in this bedroom:

I know it's not an exact match...
Hey, read all those comments from the perfect housekeepers! Some of us are just not made that way and welcome every hint we can (discreetly) get. We don't like to advertise our housekeeping deficiencies, we just work hard at trying to keep a semblance of order.
"Gather all of the misplaced items on the top of your dresser or on your bed." Haha, like all my misplaced items would fit on top of my dresser. Maybe my bed? Maybe?
I'm still swooning over this grey. Anyone have a source on it?
This post smells of a wikiHow back link agreement...
