How To Convert 640SF Apartment to a 2-Bedroom?

Good Questions

Q: Hello! When we purchased our condo (pre-construction) it was sold as a two bedroom. At only 640 square feet we though cramming two bedrooms into that small of a space was ridiculous, so we converted to a one bedroom layout during construction. Of course, way back then we were thinking "comfort" not "kids". We now have a baby on the way, and the apartment, in its current state, isn't big enough. There is no room in the bedroom for a crib, change table, etc:

We are thinking now about converting it back to a two bedroom. However, we can't imagine how we'd compact a usable living room and dining area into such a small space.

Does anyone have any insight for us? Is it doable?

Selling and buying a bigger space is not an option at this point.
