Q: I'm moving into a new apartment and I'd like to create that creamy dreamy calm look in the master. I'd love some specific paint tips and any other ideas. Thank you!

Julie, based on this photo, it looks as if you like pale colors like sand-dollar and blush and soft gold. Good place to start. You could choose an object like a conch shell that has these colors and design your whole room around that natural palette.
Fabrics in the photo look like velvet, linen, and silk -- It's great to layer lots of fabrics and textures in a simple color palette.
Looks like there is a glamourous light fixture. This is an opportunity to add some jewelry to the room. I personally like those new crystal chandeliers that are wrapped in a fabric shade for intimate spaces -- they are intimate themselves, wrapped up as they are.
[As I respond to your question, I'm imagining a blush colored velvet and chiffon evening gown with some gold satin slippers and crystal drop earrings.]
Maybe an upholstered headboard, gold-leaf bombe chest-of-drawers, and acrylic end-tables for contrast?
Unfortunately, while they say a picture says 1000 words, I think we need a few more from you to understand your budget, the style you like, what you have to work with in your new home, etc etc.
The photo is really nice, I would take inspiration from that. But @urbancricket, I think apartment therapy picks those photos out! Very nice response though, I can certainly use the advice too!
I think Apartment Therapy needs a spam filter that automatically deletes any comment that contains the magic letters http. Wouldn't that do it? Lately, the spam seems to be omnipresent.
I think urbancricket's comments are bang-on, by the way.
PS this website is great for discovering an inspired palette. I'd start there.

Thank you everyone for the comments! And yes, that's correct, I didn't actually select that photo although it is gorgeous! And I agree about the chandy! If anyone knows of a great creamy white paint color, please let me know. There are so many my head is spinning.
