Q: I recently moved into a 1940s fourplex, which my new landlady outfitted kindly with new window blinds. Unfortunately, the blinds don't keep out light very well, which has become a nighttime issue since the bedroom windows face a courtyard with a night motion sensor that is almost always on.
My landlady will not allow me to take the blinds down, and the blind frame extends several inches from the wall, so I would need something to wrap around the whole apparatus. Right now I have rigged a piece of lightweight opaque cloth all the way around the top frame of the blind, held in place with bulldog clips. It works, but boy, is it ever ugly! I'd love some feedback on this!
