The holidays are upon us, and with them holiday guests. From our video archives, here are a few tips for getting your home overnight guest ready, so that having friends or family crashing at your place will be a blissful experience and not a stressful one.

Our first tip comes from professional organizer Justin Klosky, who suggests leaving space in your guest room for your guests. It can be tempting to fill up an extra room in your home with extra stuff, but thinking of your guest room as a private space for your out-of-town friends (and leaving space accordingly) can make all the difference between a stressful visit and a smooth one.

Another place where it wouldn't hurt to make a little space for your guests is the bathroom. Here's a quick video about decluttering your medicine cabinet. Having a spot in the medicine cabinet for your guests to stash their toothbrush will make them a little more comfortable... and you'll get a head start on your New Year's resolution to finally declutter.

And finally... if you have pets, your house may have a little bit of a funk. You may not even notice it any more, but your guests probably will. Here's a quick tip for an easy — and green — way to neutralize odors and get your house smelling fresh.

Thanks for watching, and happy hosting!
