This is our favorite kind of hack: one that doesn't involve a hammer, saw, or screwdriver. Andy wrote in to Ikea Hacker about his nifty discovery that the Pax wardrobe is compatible with the Trofast bins, making it a fantastic -- and huge! -- toy storage cabinet.
The great thing about the Pax is that there are so many finishes and door options to choose from. We're showing it here in a sleek beech finish ($190):
And check it out with a set of eight (count 'em, eight!) Trofast bins ($3 each):
The best things about this hack? That you can close the door and pretend all the toys have gone away, if only till the next morning.

That's great! We use a Pax system for clothes - his, hers and baby's, but eventually we'll probably live in a bigger space without the need. Glad to know that they'll continue to be useful.

Uhmm, hate to burst your bubble but Pax and Trofast are NOT interchangeable. The Pax unit shown above as a toy storage system actually uses the Komplement box and guide rail. These are designed for the Pax wardrobe series. There is no Trofast component shown in this pitcure.
