Yes, we know that summer's technically over. But we can't resist a lovely hammock, especially one that you can handcraft at home. File this away (or pin it!) as a rainy day project for those dreary days of fall and winter, so by the time spring comes around, you'll be ready to hang it in your back yard or the garden!
This hammock requires no special materials, other than 600 feet of plain rope from the hardware store. You don't want it too thin nor too thick, as you'll be making a simple overhand knot hammock that should be comfy to lie on (in spite of the knots).
And who knows — if you finish this project early, you might be tempted to find a place indoors to hang it.
