Lampshades are pretty basic. You can garnish them with frills and bobbles but they're still the same. Why not take a tip from Sunset Magazine and add a little something that's only visible when the lights go on? More info after the jump...
Cut out your design from rice paper and adhere it to the interior of your lampshade with spray mount adhesive. Then turn on the light and let it shine. Click here for detailed instructions and to download a flower template

it was from Target according to the article- but I think it was back in 2006.
I did that with life-sized paper cutouts of spiders. It makes a great addition to a guest bedroomâespecially when the guest is scared of spiders!
