Lampshades are pretty basic. You can garnish them with frills and bobbles but they're still the same. Why not take a tip from Sunset Magazine and add a little something that's only visible when the lights go on? More info after the jump...

it was from Target according to the article- but I think it was back in 2006.
I did that with life-sized paper cutouts of spiders. It makes a great addition to a guest bedroom—especially when the guest is scared of spiders!
