How To Make a Sandbox (So You Can Throw Mini Beach Parties)

Made

It was a relief to hear Dana of Made say that she and her husband aren't master carpenters by any means but they were still able to pull off this terrific handmade sandbox. Not only did they make it, they put together a detailed photo tutorial for other castle-building families. The vibrant painted stripes (with leftover paint from Lucy's room?) make this sandbox more visually appealing and there are a few features that take this project from grade A to A+: 2 built-in benches, 2 umbrella stands and holes in one bench for sifting sand (fun!).

Head over to Made for a full photo tutorial including specific dimensions of their sandbox and information on the materials they used.
