The chair on the left: dated and worn. The chair on the right: gorgeous and new. Guess what? It's the same chair! Behold the magic of the slipcover! And the best part? I found step-by-step slipcover instructions that look so easy we should all be rehabbing old chairs this weekend!
There are a lot of chairs out there that still have a lot of life in them but could use a new shell. Well grab the sewing machine and start searching for inexpensive fabric because I found an illustrated how-to for making a slipcover.
Rachelle posted a very thorough (and totally inspiring) how-to on Remodelaholic and I will be forever grateful. I've had my eye on a not-so-gently used wingback chair at a flea market but I was feeling so overwhelmed by the thought of recovering it that I kept passing it up. Rachelle's tutorial is going to help me get over the fear and just do it!
Check out Rachelle's tutorial over at Remodelaholic.
