If you have a naked bed frame in your bedroom, how about making a new DIY headboard to jazz it up? I think a tufted headboard can add a lot of class to a bedroom — and with minimal effort! Well, maybe not minimal effort but with a handy how-to guide to help you along a DIY headboard will seem relatively painless.
Kate over at Centsational Girl provides an easy to follow tutorial that shows you how to make your own tufted headboard. All you need is ½ inch plywood, cut to your bed’s specifications for width and height; 2 inch foam to cover plywood; batting; 1½ inch finish nails; ‘D’ ring hooks; button cover kits; embroidery or upholstery thread; decorator needles. Granted, that seems like a long list of supplies but by following Centsational Girl's directions, it won't take long to create the headboard. This would be the perfect weekend project to give your bedroom a little pizzazz.
