Danielle started out with a very inexpensive Closetmaid over-the-door white hook and transformed it into a DIY version of the classic mid-century storage item, the Eames Hang-it-All. It was quick, affordable, the results are pretty sweet looking...

...and she outlines every step of the process and all the supplies needed in detail.

Danielle used the wonderful candy-colored brights of the original, but we could imagine that it would be fun to also personalize it with a completely different range of hues - we were thinking a mix of different shades of a single color (like these Wegner Wishbone chairs) would be an interesting way to go.

Thinking about giving it a try? Visit Thompson Family-Life for the full tutorial.

Thanks, Danielle!
