One easy way to mount a photo or print in frameless glass is with a good old faithful: the binder clip. Use silver finish ones in the smallest size available for a clean look. And the clips provide a way to hang the display, too:
What You Need
Materials
photo or artwork
matting cut to an appropriate size
1/8" glass cut to the same dimensions as the matting's outer measurements
four binder clips
chip board backing cut to the same size as the glass
Instructions
1. Assemble the backing, artwork, matting and glass, careful to align the edges of everything.
2. Clip the binder clips onto the assembly: two at the top and two at the bottom, measuring whatever distance you want in from the sides.
3. Remove all of the wire prongs from the two bottom clips. There are two prongs per clip: one on the front and one on the back. Remove each one by pinching them toward the center then sliding them out of the clip body.
4. Remove only the front prongs from the two top clips.
5. The back prongs should remain on the top clips - in the "up" position" - to provide a place to hang the work.
Additional Notes: Be sure the upper binder clips have a tight hold. The tightness actually varies between clips and it's important you use the strongest ones from the batch if you're going to be hanging the work by the clips. If the clips aren't tight enough, the glass and everything else will slip and fall to the floor. But tight-fitting clips are more than strong enough to support the weight of an 11x14" piece of glass.

Shaw's Original Fir...
You know, I never really did like the look of this. Just buy a frame or go the the Dollar Tree, where there a frameless frames (just the glass and itty bitty clips to hold the glass in place). Looks college dorm-room to me. If it works for you, then go for it.
Disappointing. I thought this was going to show how to use some sort of adhesive to put this all together and the binder clips were to hold it together while it dried.
Between this, the ribbon and clothespin postcard holder, and the potato stamped lampshade, I feel like this is middle school arts and crafts time.
Or you could just get the IKEA "Clips" frame. The most expensive one is $8. I have several and they look great ... much better than having big black clips showing around the edges.

Hey sasharenee, quit the negativity, OK? I'm getting really tired of it.
If you don't like the project, don't do it. And notice some of these ideas are not step by step because they're complicated, but because they might be cute ideas for people looking for a specific look.
this might works well if you want the frameless look for something that is matted. but i'd be very careful with hanging the frame from the same clip that is holding it together, as the weight of the frame could loosen the clip.
the clip frames are great, but don't do so well with matting because they can't handle the added thickness (some clips are big enough, some not). and if you have nice photos or other prints you don't want them pressed against glass for a long time cause they might stick.
I did the same thing 3 days ago but without the glass. As a photographer I'm often changing out the prints I have, this allows me to hang a lot, and have them look consistent for very little money.
Hey criv227, everyone is allowed to have an opinion. So stop complaining about it on every post.
Will the clips really hold the weight of the glass? That's my only concern.
Everyone seems to have a problem with your "I hate this article" posts. They're not productive or beneficial to the spirit of the article.
See some of the other posts on this thread for beneficial questioning of this project.
I don't have a problem with them. People have their opinions.
I think sasharenee is right on! Some of these "crafts" are embarrassingly clumsy & halfassed. What's next: how to make a beverage coaster out of Popsicle sticks?
I'd like to give it a try. If it works I'll come back and post here. I have an odd size print that I don't have the money to frame be interested to see if this would work. I would do w/o a matt. OfficeMax has silver and gold binder clips, not just black.
