This is the second in a series of tips on moving in the Bay Area. Movers: If you are DIYing it we recommend using Coast Truck Rental. They are located right along the Muni T-line and are also a family owned business. Book ahead, especially for busy weekends around the end of the month... (They are also our favorite if you just need a quick truck rental to pick something up you found on Craigslist. They have a special rate for weekday nights. If you pick up the truck around 5-6pm you can use it as needed until the next morning for around $30.) If you decide to hire movers, be wary of the unrecommended, unlicensed and uninsured. Moving Scams.com or Craigslist offers a run-down on companies to avoid. We love Delancey Street Movers. Besides being local they represent such a good cause and we've yet to hear of someone having a bad experience with them. Image: WikimediaHow To: Move Without Losing Your Mind (Part One) -jordan
