How is the back of your desk or computer? Messy or clean? For us, keeping our wires untangled is always a work in progress. Even when you take the time to organize them, it doesn't take long until they get messed up again. That's why we thought that these little cable cubes were a great idea to keep your computer wires organized and easy to change.
These great little cubes were created by German designer Kuhne Jager and presented at DMY Berlin Design Festival 09. She calls them Cable Cubes, and their design is based upon a modular cable arrangement system for walls. Each individual cable is attached to a cube with the appropriate connector. The cubes can be plugged into each other. You can add as many cubes as you want and every module can be fixed onto a wall for increased stability.
We thought that this was a great way of keeping the wires behind your desk and computer organized. Since each cable is separated by enough space, it keeps them from getting tangled up. Also, you can easily see which cable goes to which device using this system. By using a color-coded system, you can also arrange and sort the cables out. [via Designboom, images by Designboom]
